Dating Culture
Main Post:
Hi,
I just moved here and I'm curious about dating culture here. Where I come from, usually two partner stays for a while and then have sex. Here l, there have been lots of guys asking me to go home with him on the first date. How common is this? Can u explain a little bit about dating culture here?
P.s. please don't tell me do whatever you are comfortable with, I already know that, I just want to know what is the norm here
Top Comment: There is no one norm. I've been on a date with a girl who migrated here, who was absolutely shocked that I didn't expect sex on the first date.
What's your experience with dating sites/apps in Belgium?
Main Post: What's your experience with dating sites/apps in Belgium?
Top Comment: Review for straight man experience, rural area. It's quite shit tbh. Tried a variety of them for serious dating. What makes it absolutely garbage imo is the male/female balance on those apps is stupidly off. Every single girl likely has a list of matches longer than your steam games wishlist. This is the core issue. It roughly translates into shelving them into 3 groups: -get to the point fast or get unmatched. -full on princess. -will only match a few and give them a decent chance. Which obviously translates into getting unmatched or ghosted at random, along with having to put up with a load of bullcrap occasionally. However for all the shit you can get, I did have some dates from it quite quickly and haven't regretted any of them and found me a gf. So it can work. As for the apps imo, Facebook dating (what the fuck) actually had the highest rate of matching and conversation quality. Highly unexpected. Bonus points if you enable friends of friends recommendations for awkwardness points. Facebook dating gets a solid 7/10 for being hilarious. Fuck all the rest of them. Unless you really struggle with talking to a girl irl, skip this garbage.

Which dating app do you use?
Main Post:
I would like to find some apps that are not the typical straight-normative good looking people only. I’ve heard about breeze, that when you match you get a menu of restaurants to bring your date to, you can pay 50/50 through the app and encourages partnerships as well. I like the idea since Brussels can be a hidden place with hidden offers to bring a date. Which other one is popular here?
Top Comment: Breeze doesn't work exactly like you described. They pick the bar for you, you each pay for the date, and the first drink is included. If you're looking for people who don't fit into the standard apps, Feeld might be a good option. It's geared towards open communication, being explicit and tolerant about many preferences and kinks.
Single people in their 30s, how often do you go on dates?
Main Post:
A bit of an unusual question, I'm just curious I suppose. People who are actively seeking, how many dates do you usually go out in a month? Or in a year? Or a week?
Top Comment: 0 Serendipity is my only dating strategy.
